Here's a message from Veronica about why she does the Walk:
It will be my third time participating in the AVON Walk for Breast Cancer this September. This is something that I am very proud to be doing and an experience like no other I have ever had. I will be walking with hundreds of other women and men who have vowed to raise awareness and bond together to fight against breast cancer. Many have friends or family members who have died or who live today with the disease. Many like me, may not know a single person with it, but walk because they want to do something about it. I want to do something about it; this is why I am walking 39.3 miles over two days.
The walk is about raising awareness; it’s about donating my time, my energy and my body, to something bigger than me. Most of all it’s about helping millions of people all over the world with every step I take.Now I need your support, “they” need your support, to help find a cure.
